The Ae Team

Since 2009, AEPDX has been Portland's premier community for storytelling through design and animation. We gather to explore, educate, share, and network—welcoming designers, illustrators, animators, filmmakers, and VFX artists to exchange expertise. Our events cover industry insights, animation techniques, and software, including After Effects, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Rive, Maya, Blender, and more.

AEPDX exists to give the Portland design and animation community a platform for engagement, education, and collaboration. Our primary goal is to promote a diverse and inclusive environment full of a wide range of perspectives, styles, experience levels, and backgrounds. We provide in-person and online events with guest speakers, panels, and presentations featuring project breakdowns and software releases. We also offer local artists access to continuing education, networking opportunities, and platforms to showcase their work. Additionally, AEPDX supports and connects with other local animation groups to strengthen the creative community.
